If you’re looking to develop more confidence, effectiveness, leadership (including self-leadership) or just live more on purpose, this may be the main coaching modality for you. Spiritual coaching aims to support you to develop greater intuitive awareness and alignment with your soul’s promptings, bringing greater purpose, fulfilment and meaning to your life.

We begin by exploring who you are now and who you would like to be, then continue on to work with other levels and layers of your being – mental, spiritual emotional, physical etc.

My certification for this type of coaching comes from Transformation Academy and was taught by Emily Rivera, the Angel Coach. The course aims to help ‘bring the clarity of spiritual alignment into your life’, as the introduction to the course puts it. This works whether your goals are personal, spiritual, professional, or practical. I’ve taken myself through this programme so I understand from the inside how it works and how it feels.

As with any coaching programme, my aim is to help you clarify where you are right now, and where you’d like to be, and guide you through insightful questions to find the answers that are already within you, or available from your spiritual and inner guidance. Unlike other coaching methods, we go deeper, helping you to understand hidden patterns and intentions of your soul, such as the life lessons and service you are uniquely here to learn and provide.

What’s beautiful about this is that it helps you make lasting change, because the better you understand things, the better you can work with them, rather than – as we often do – complaining, staying emotionally stuck with them, and wondering why you can’t make progress.

When you release or dissolve the roadblocks, you can move towards your destination with ease, grace – even joy – and start to understand what the destination is, and why your soul chose it for you.

One of my favourite quote is from The Manual of the Warrior of Light by Paolo Coelho. “Sometimes the warrior says to his heart – ‘I have been here before.’ ‘Yes’, replies his heart, ‘but you have never been beyond.’

Spiritual coaching aims to help you move beyond the places you’ve been looping back to.

I also like to point out the difference between blame and responsibility. Many people see them as the same thing, but they’re not. Blame is part of victim mentality. It says, ‘I can’t do anything about this, because someone else needs to take action first. It’s their fault, not mine.’ Responsibility says, ‘Yes, this happened, and maybe I can’t take the route I’d planned because of that – but there are other ways to get there, and which route I take is up to me.’

If you’re looking for ways to stop spinning your wheels and start living, with intention, the life you can feel calling you but haven’t known how to access, spiritual coaching may be for you. Why not book a call and find out?
